Celebrating 20 Years!

Named after my favorite place in London, Notting Hill Interiors first opened its doors in 2004. Thanks to our incredible customers, we have become an iconic destination store in New Zealand.

Our journey began in Tirau, at the historic "Bear's Butchery" site on the corner of SH1 and Rose St. The enthusiastic response led us to expand into the adjoining building, the old "Garage," which had been closed for 40 years. This marked a pivotal moment for us, allowing us to offer a broader selection of unique furniture and home décor. Soon after, we opened a second store at No. 5 Main Road, further showcasing our pieces, this location has a rich history, having once housed a billiard saloon, the Tirau Public Library, and a barbershop.

In 2018, just after our stores had undergone extensive renovations, we faced an unexpected challenge when a truck crashed into our Rose Street shop, causing significant damage. This setback pushed us to adapt quickly, and we moved across the road to neighbouring buildings on Hillcrest Street. From this adversity, we rebuilt Notting Hill Interiors stronger than ever.

What began as a small team has now grown to over 20 dedicated staff members across three stores in Tirau, including an outlet. Our online store has also flourished, attracting customers nationwide and growing each year.

As we celebrate 20 years, we are filled with gratitude for our loyal customers and the vibrant country that has supported us on this incredible journey. Here’s to many more years of bringing beautiful interiors and fashion to your homes!
