Peugeot’s salt mill mechanisms are designed to grind coarse dry salt. The stainless steel used is not sensitive to salt corrosion. However, it is strongly recommended that you use salt that is specifically labelled “Suitable for Grinders.” Do not use flaky salt or the pink Himalayan salt, as these mechanisms are not designed to handle those varieties.
To maximise the life of your salt mill, ALWAYS grind clockwise. Grinding anti-clockwise is not effective, and grinding back and forth will damage the mechanism.
Wipe clean with a dry soft cloth. Do not expose to water or liquids. Do not put in the dishwasher.
